Arthur, a Dutch national, has lived and worked in the Far East since 1980. He came to Hong Kong with a ( now defunct ) Dutch trading company called Borneo Sumatra. It was supposed to be a 2 to 3 year posting, but as it happened, he stayed on and 39 years later is still living in Hong Kong.
Arthur has taken up painting in 2000, as a hobby.
Through the years his work has progressed and his paintings are now hanging in homes and commercial venues all over the world.
Through the years he has had several exhibitions, both solo and joint ones with other artists. The most recent one, “Faces of Hong Kong”, which was a solo exhibition, was in November 2016 at the Fringe Club in Central. Apart from at the “Picture This” exhibition, ( March 29 till April 1 2019 ) which is a joint exhibition with his good friend Kim Robinson, you can find his work on his website:
